PSC : Public Service Commission
PPSC stands is the acronym for Public Service Commission. This is the central authority that manages the examsthat can be conducted for jobs under different categories. Public Service Commission was set in accordance with Article 315 to 323 of the constitution of India.
For the Union the commission is known as Union Public Service Commission which conducts exams for the purpose of securing Indian jobs at the nation level and more prestigious Central Services. For instance, there is the IAS examis held by UPSC each year. The exam is an entry point for Group A and B service.
Whereas, at the state at the state level, this commission is known as The State Public Service Commission that is accountable to a state, and administers exams to determine the eligibility of officers into state services and to provide suggestions and advice to the governor regarding disciplinary matters. The members are selected by the Governor.
The composition of that of State Public Service Commission and the Union Public Service Commission is identical. However, the Jurisdiction of the UPSC is more extensive than that of the State PSC. The UPSC is able to exercise its authority over the entire nation while the SPCS's authority can be exercised within the state.

The PSC's functions are mentioned in Article (107) of the Indian constitution. The article authorizes the PSC to hire and remove public officials. The functions of the PSC can be classified into two groups: (a) Administrative , and (b) Consultative.

- Provide advice on matters that are referred to by the President of India
