PSC : Public Service Commission
PPSC is the acronym is the acronym for Public Service Commission. It is a central authority which is in charge of managing the examsthat are held for various categories of jobs. Public Service Commission was set by Article 315-323 of the constitution of India.
For the Union Commission, it is referred to as Union Public Service Commission which runs exams for recruitment to Indian public service positions at the federal level and more prestigious Central Services. For instance, it is the IAS examis taken by UPSC every year. This exam is an entry-point to Group A and B services.
Whereas, at the state one, the commission is called"the" State Public Service Commission which is a part of to a state and conducts exams to recruit officers into state services and to provide suggestions and advice for the governor in disciplinarian issues. The members of the commission are appointed by Governors.
In terms of composition, the State Public Service Commission and the Union Public Service Commission is identical. However, the Jurisdiction of UPSC is much greater than that of State PSC. The UPSC has jurisdiction across the entire nation, in contrast, the SPCS's power can be exercised within the state.

The functions of the PSC are described in Article of Article 107 in the Indian constitution. The article authorizes for the PSC the power to draw up and to remove public officials. The functions of PSC are divided into two categories (a) Administrative and (b) Advisory.
